Two-way Humidity Control
Bóveda is the only two-way humidity control for desktop humidors available. Its two-way humidity control constantly responds to the changes in ambient temperature and humidity—as needed—to eliminate all fluctuations and cycles of humidity. This preserves the natural oils, sugars and character in cigars and allows them to improve with age, rather than degrade over time.
All refillable humidification products, on the other hand, are one-way—meaning they emit moisture into the humidor whether it’s needed or not. This causes the humidity to climb higher when the device is filled with water and drop precipitously as the water evaporates. It’s from these wetting and drying cycles that cause cigars to swell and contract—losing their natural oils, sugars and flavor in the process and limiting the cigar’s ability to improve with age.
Reverse Osmosis Membrane
Bóveda is the only product on the market with a built-in reverse osmosis membrane. The membrane is made up of microscopic holes so small that only pure, clean water molecules can pass through. Unlike refillable devices, Bóveda is incapable of developing bacteria, mold, mildew, and other contaminants.
